I participated on Birthright Israel in May 2014.
The highlight of my trip was when we were driving into Jerusalem and the Matisyahu song “Jerusalem” was blasting on our bus. Everyone was singing along and I remember feeling so connected to the group and to Israel. One of the magical aspects of Birthright Israel is that even the simplest of experiences can leave such an enormous and lasting impact.
I am now involved with the Young Leadership Council because I had such a positive Birthright Israel experience, and I want to do my part to make sure as many people get to have a similar one.
